A beautiful sunny day is not always a good thing for a craft fair and today was no exception.
I had booked a table within the Kaim Hotel, Bathgate, which was organised by Pink Thistle, and I was hoping that there would be a good response from prospective customers as this event had been well advertised.
The hall was quite dark which is disappointing when you sell glass…and guess what? I didn’t bring my light box, the reason being was that the past few fairs I attended were well lit and I didn’t need my box. Note to myself….keep light box in car at all times!!
Well the morning was busy and my products produced much interest and I gave out lots of business cards but sales throughout the day were disappointing.
This was a well organised event, thank you Nicole for all your hard work, however some stall holders left at 2pm and others soon followed even though the event wasn’t due to finish until 4pm . Doing this is unfair to other stall holders as prospective customers see this and don’t stay or even come in.
I always enjoy the fairs even if sales are slow to happen. It’s nice to see all the other crafts that are available and these events are the place to buy something not available on the High Street.
Many Thanks to my friend Dorothy who came along to help me out and to Hamish, the 12 week old Maltese puppy who put a smile on everyone’s face.
